Is there any way to make this flow meter fit with 1/2" tubing?

But if you guys have anything similar (only better) to recommend, please do. Knowing the flow and temperature of the water is probably useless, but I don't care... Thanks in advance!

You break it, I fix it

you would have to take the barbs off and replace them with 1/2 inch ones. but it will be a bottle neck for the loop there it only allow 3/8 and the restriction of the flow meter its self.

Just a warning: It looks to me like that isn't an actual flow-meter, but only a flow-indicator. i.e. it doesn't tell you how much flow your system has in gpm or l/h or anything, it just shows spinning wheel=flow wheel standing still=no flow.
If you want an actual flow-meter, check if anything from Digmesa is available near you. |

From what I have read in other threads, these are very restrictive to a loop. You will probably have a slight change (decrease) in performance but nothing really drastic.

The temp alarm actually works (g/f thought computer was going to explode once lol) Just shows that the water is flowing, not any measurement of flow. Pretty accurate temp sensor too. One problem is getting air bubbles out of it (unless it's vertical). ANY bubbles in your line will get trapped there lol. EDIT: Also, check out *evil word coming...* Koolance's flow sensor. Seems less restrictive and you can hook it up to your MoBo and use some software to monitor flow(RPMs)

I wouldn't put anything like that in-line, there just to restrictive..Use a bay res and you can see your water moving in it, or even with just a t-line it will pull the coolant down in it far enough that you'll know its working..Besides, if your pump is out you'll know it in just a few second anyway..
...Just set a shut down temp in your bios...
