Default Antec Mini P180 (concept stage)

So here's a concept I was thinking of trying.

The main idea is to have a complete PC (aside from software, monitor, etc...have that already) for the least amount of $$ while still using quality parts and having somthing that looks decent.

I'm just going to concentrate on watercooling the CPU for now and then possibly adding a bigger rad and a block for the GPU.

PC Hardware

Antec Mini 180 w/ Custom Side Window

Gigabyte GA-EG31M LGA 775 Intel G31 Micro ATX Motherboard

Intel Q9450 2.66Ghz

G.Skill 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR2 800

EVGA GTX 260 SC Edition

WD 500GB AAKS Model SATA 3.0GB/s

Corsair CMPSU-650TX 650W

WaterCooling Hardware

Swiftech MCP355

Swiftech Micro Res

XSPC High-Performance Dual-Pass 240mm Rad w/ Horizontal Nozzles (for less restriction)

Swiftech RadBox

Arctic Cooling 120mm Low-Noise Fans (x2)

Alphacool NexXxos XP Bold HIGHFLOW 775 WaterBlock

Swiftech 7/16" ID x 5/8" OD clear tubing

Primochill Anti-Kink Coils - Black

Feser UV Red Dye (Will make my own coolant mix)

Assorted fittings, UV Cathodes, etc.

Proposed Layout

I was going to remove the top drive box and place the radiator and pump next to each other.

Will probably punch out two holes (in the small vent on p180 next to the expansion slot covers) for the hose to pass through. (with grommets of course)

Total Cost:

$1,511.03 (shipped)

Any thoughts/ suggestions/ comments?

Put the reservoir above the level of the pump so it's gravity fed, helps prevent dry starts and will definitely assist in bleeding.

Can that case fit a GTX 260? To me it seems like you'll be cutting it close, but I haven't dealt with large cards or small cases, let alone the relationship of them.

Im pretty sure I can raise it slightly above the pump to the hose goes down towards the pump.

(My super-technical diagram doesn't show this because I can't draw in 3D lol. The pump would actually be behind the res (on the same level or lower than the res) in the diagram)

Thanks!

I'd have to look into that. I know the GTX 260 doesn't extend (width-wise) past a normal ATX Board so it might just be a close fit.

Thanks!

***EDIT***

GTX 260 is 10.5" according to Nvidia so it might be a REALLY tight fit if the average Micro ATX board is 9.6".

I can only hope i've got the extra 0.9" from the board to the drive bays....
