Here is a stupid question from me to my colleagues...I have 2 radiators for my new rig (a GTX 360 and a Swiftech 120-QP) and plan on getting a Q9450 and a 4870X2. I have 2 DCC 3.2 with XSPC acrylic tops and was wondering if the Swiftech 120 will be able to cool the 4870X2 in it's own loop or will it overload the rad and I will have to put it with the GTX 360 in a big loop?

thats a situation... normally i would say keep the CPU loop by itself... But Who really knows how hot they 4870X2's run... it will all depends when they actually come out... What blocks you use etcc.. Just running everything in one big loop would be your best bet... it is certainly not big enough to carry either component.

mcr120 cannot handle a 4870x2 overclocked. You would have to run it as one loop, which would be more than fine.

Ok...didn't think it could LOL. Now I just need to figure out should stick with one D5 for this multiblock multi rad setup, or switch to 2 DDC3.2 pumps with XSPC tops

Remember to consider the amount of flow available to you and the power of your pump which can make all the difference.

In fact, it is not worth the increase of flow with 2 pumps in the same loop. If you really want something nice, ditch the d5 and go for the alphacool 1510..Just put worm clamps on the tubing :P

well as far as flow all my blocks are not restrictive...the loop includes:
Pump: 1-2X D5/2X DDC3.2 w/ XSPC acrylic top Radiator 1: HWLabs Black Ice GTX 360 Radiator 2: Swiftech 120-QP CPU Block: XSPC Edge GPU Black: Swiftech MCW60 for now; block on HD4870X2 too be decided when something comes out >.> Reservoir: EK 250

Serious thumbs up. It's a shame they stopped making the acrylic edge.
