Default Liquid Cooling Blocks + Questions

Hi everyone,

I just had a few questions on watercooling, and i'm going to go back to it soon. I'm going to get a d-tek fuzion v2 waterblock for my cpu, but I was wondering, does the d-tek fuzion gfx v2 fit my sapphire radeon hd4870? if it does, will this also fit it?
http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?...oducts_id=6153
If it doesn't, can someone please reccomend me another block?
Next question is about the liquid used. I was wondering what is the best liquid for lowest temps, but I'm also looking for it to glow a bit blue. That can be easy, I can just get some blue tubing. I was looking at this gigabyte coolant and i was wondering if it is any good?
http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?...oducts_id=7772
Or I can mix some water with this?
http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?...oducts_id=5453
The last question is, for these kind of barbs,
http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?...oducts_id=6148
how to do ensure that water doesn't come out? Would these suffice?
http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?...roducts_id=690
Thanks for looking at my thread and helping me out!

1. The Fuzion GFX will fit on the 4870 with no problem.

2. The R600 unisink only fits the 2900 series cards, not 4800. The 4870 is the only card in which I really do recommend a full cover waterblock as opposed to a core only block. The VRMs just run so hot that I would definitely go full cover for the 4870. If you don't want to however, you can simply by a lot of ramsinks and mosfet sinks and make sure to have some good airflow in that area.

3. For blue coolant, I recommend Pentosin G11 mixed with distilled water.

4. First off, for the barbs, I suggest 1/2". The way to help protect against leaks is to make sure the barbs are screwed in only as tight as you can get them as to not overtighten them. I use metal worm clamps to keep the tubing onto the barbs, but you can also use zip ties.

what other stuff do you have? everything I can think of can be switched to 1/2" by changing barbs. everything except a pump like a MCP355 or 3550. But that can be solved by getting a nice top for it (which improves performance). You should really go 1/2" to improve your flow.

I'd second the move to 1/2" too

They have 3/8 to 1/2" converters.

Yea, but then the component that is using the 3/8" is constricting the loop big time.

Not at all.
The restriction is rather minimal and should not have an effect on temps.

So why not just have the whole loop in 3/8" then?

Yeah I'd go all 1/2" barbs to, even if you want to use 3/8" tubing, you can stretch it over them with a little cussing....You'll get a little better flow...
