You mean with a car rad? Sure it would help a little..But a cars water pump is being turned by a 100+ horse power motor, even a RD30 is pretty puny compared to that..A cars rad has larger ID internal tubing for a lot higher flow then we have...I'm not saying it wouldn't work either, I have seen quite a few guys use them,a long time ago, but it wont out perform a lot smaller rad thats made for WC'ing...We can only get so close to ambient, a wall of rads wont get us any closer then the one rad will that is efficient..

i'm sorry, u all mis-understood my point. all things being equal, a larger rad will dissipate more heat, will it not?

Yes to a certain point because you can only make a radiator larger up until the point that the pump you are using can still handle the loop efficiently.

i highly doubt that point will ever appear... take a look at how Souther California gets their water.... via aqueduct from us here n Northern California... but it has 2 go over some big mountains... they have 2 pump millions of gallons of water up over a mountain - talk about head.

Without proof we can clash theories all day. Let's put this behind this until the day he gets his 'big and cheap radiator" and post his temperatures and then see who was right. In theory, what you say is correct and that the bigger the radiator, the greater the surface area, the greater the heat dissipitation. However, the fact still remains, people have tried this many times and it has been show many times that commercial radiators cool computer components better. Whether or not this is because of the optimization of radiator design or what, I don't know for sure. All I know is that PC radiators do for the most part, beat out car radiators and that the 480GTX on higher airflow fans, beats out all competition.
Post updated to include barbs and DDC3.2 tops!

You could probably cool an OC'd Q6600 B3 with a 480GTX with some whisper-quiet 30cfm fans, right? That would be really nice.
