Default murky colorless water?

Greetings all,

I'm knee deep in my first watercooled project. I've assembled my loop (a few different times) and after a few days my crystal clear distilled water has turned cloudy/murky and has stained the inside of my tubing to match. I thought distilled is quite clean, what's up?

Also, I've added Primochill's liquid utopia in steel blue and after a few seconds the blue is completely gone, transparent. What's up with that? BTW my loop holds about 1/3 of a gallon and I've added 2/3 of the syringe.

Thanks for the help!

Did you rinse your loop a few times after initially setting it up? Are you using anti-biological agent?

No, didn't really rinse it. Except that this is the third fill, if you can count the second fill as a rinse cycle? The Liquid Utopia is advertised as anti corrosion and anti microbial.

If these are all new parts, I would rinse it a few more times. Use some water with like 5-10% vinegar mix.

Did you soak your parts in alchohol before you setup your loop? Also, since it seems like liquid utopia isn't living up to it's anti-microbial claim, why don't you go out and get a dedicated anti-microbial solution for your loop?

Yeah, all the parts are new. I didn't alcohol rinse or any sort of rinse. I like the vinegar solution rinse idea. Maybe I'll do that then replace with... what? I've heard distilled is the most efficient. But I'll run whatever works best. I hadn't heard that liquid utopia wasn't working well. I'll have to research what cooling solutions are working well for everyone.

Thanks for the ideas!

Oh, check out my loop pic.
