We run very similar loops. My loop order is in my sig, main difference is you have a chipset WB instead of a GPU WB, we have different CPU blocks and I have an extra MCR120. All my rads have fans in push-pull, with shrouds where there is space for them.

My Q9550 clocked at 3.6 (still in the process of finding the limit) at 1.34v with 1.5 to the NB. Load temps at this speed are: 58 52 59 59.

I was expecting the 45nm chip to be way cooler than my Q6600. Load temps to show a good improvement... My Q66000 B3 hits 65 degrees at 3.2GHz.

These 45nm quads are thermal-spec'd to 71.4 degrees by Intel so if you're getting close to the chips limit and you still have 10 degrees to go then you're laughing.

I had a feeling this would be the case with my chip, which is why I didn't lap it right out of the box, as temps are not a limiting factor with 45nm OC'ing.

I've since toasted the P35 with 1.7v on the NB, and replaced it with a TPower i45. I took the NB block out of the loop, and ditched the second rad. Temps now are about the same that they were, but I'm running 3.92Ghz instead.

Thats probably your problem pushing ur nb 1.7 i usually stick to a limit of 1.5 nb and fiddle around with other things to try and get a stable over clock.. Your temps do seem a tad high try fiddle with ur settings.. btw nice vid mate

No, it wasn't. These temps are apparently normal for a 45nm quad. Without the NB block and second rad in the loop, I'm getting similar temps at a higher clock.
