I'm running my q9450 at 1.34v at 3.76Ghz, and I find that my full load temps with an Apogee GT, MCW30 on the NB, MCP655, and dual MCR220s(4 fans each) climb eventually to 60C. I posted regarding this on the XS forums, and am told that temps on the 45nm chips are higher than equivalent 65nm chips. What kind of temps are other 45nm powered quad-core rigs seeing?

The truth is, no one knows how to read the temps of our processors. It's all a big ballpark figure.

My temps, well, I can touch it under load so that's ok to me.
Motherboard tells me I'm at 26-30C idle so I'm guessing no more than 50C load. Using all of the other programs, coretemp, real temp, IDDC, I get different numbers from all three. I suppose I could just enter my TJmax of -1000000 and see some better temps. lol

As far as I'm told, the heat isn't transferred as efficiently from the CPU into the water on the 45s. I've been using RealTemp so far. Now Coretemp is the right one? Sheesh!

My QX9650 at 1.344 (in windows, 1.425 in Bios) @ 4.0 hits about 55 under full load.
