So I'm considering delving into water cooling for kicks. Seems to be a lot of published information on what blocks and pumps are great, but I can't seem to find much on what radiators are best to use. Be it heater cores all the way to the $150 Thermochill exchangers, what's the best of the best? Looking for something of a 2x120mm fan capacity, since I think that's all I'll be able to fit in this case. Going to be cooling my Q6600 and two 4850s. Primarily looking at the Swiftech MCR220-QP and the Thermochill PA120.2. Seems like the general opinion is the Thermochill is the best, but is it really $100 worth better? Also considering the Feser X-Change 240, just cause it's marketed as being better than the Thermochill, but costs about the same

It's going to be awfully tough for a double radiator (aka 240mm, 2x120, etc.) to cope with the Q6600 unless you have high powered fans, let alone two graphics cards in the same loop. I realize you want to run the radiator internally, but that's probably not going to happen with respectable temperatures.

im in 100% agreement with afzsom a singel 240mm rad really wont cut it for that kind of heat output. Maybe a black ice xtreme gtx 240 with very high cfm's would do but deffinetly not a swiftech
i say go for a triple 120mm rad like the bi gtx360 or the pa 120.3 or scratch all that and do two loops, each whit a 240 mm rad

Unfortunately, a 2x120 rad will not be enough to cool your CPU and 4850s.
As for the best rads, it depends on your budget and what fans you plan on using. King of the budget segment are the swiftech rads. Now in the battle between the Black Ice GTX radiators and the Thermochill PA/ Feser x-changer (feser's are pretty much exact copies of thermochills' with a few tweaks) it all depends on your fans. With higher CFM fans, the Black Ice GTX rads pull ahead of the thermochill/feser rads. When you're using low CFM fans, the thermochill/feser rads are better. You're going to need a bigger rad to cope with all of that heat. If you're wanting a single loop, I would go with the Black Ice GTX 480 for high cfm fans or the Feser 480 for low CFM fans. You could also split it into two loops. The problem being that you want this all to be internal. I don't think it's possible.

hmm.. with your case, you could fit it at the top or on the front of the case. i'd say a 240GTX would be great if only for cpu. it performs equally as the thermochills at around 85CFM and anything higher, it just leaves it in the dust. for fans, i'd go with the ultra high speed panaflos.

Sheesh, I thought watercooling might be worthwhile, but it's beginning to sound like a waste. As far as fans, I'm a real fan of the Scythe S-FLEX 75cfm fans, if that places any bearing on the matter. Maybe I should just pursue plans for more efficient air cooling, beginning to sound like it'll be more effective and probably cheaper.

Why dont you go with a 360gtx rad and just pump some high cfm fans through it.. the 120PA rad unfortunately wont cut it for your loop.. go with the 360gtx mate or even a 480..

its quite addicting once you get into it. but i think its just that doing it internally would be just really difficult for your case.
hmm. i think you would be better with the thermochills with those fans.

Size constraints are the major limit factor here, I really want to keep the entire setup internal. Maybe time to buy a bigger case...
