I've got one of those xpsc aluminum finned reservoirs (250 ml) and I notice that I am getting some air bubbles (not a lot) in the top of the res.
__________________That res does seal very solid so I am assuming they are coming from the process of running the pump and working out the air in the loop. My questions is, should I fill the res with goal to absolutly eliminate all of them or just leave it because it doesn't matter? Is there any reason I shouldn't fill it ?

bubbles are no worry if their not making it out of the res and back into the loop. Filling it all the way is easier as the less air caught in the loop the less evaporation happens..although thats something you wouldnt notice prolly.

The best way to get rid of bubbles in a res is usually to tap it a good few times, maybe shake it slightly. Adding more fluid will not necessarily fix your problems.

well the thing is your pump is strong enough to create the turbulence. If the bubbles are their after you bleed the water they will prolly always be created by the inlet barb shooting water against the wall.
like i said no air going to the out barb ur totaly fine.
