Default Cleaning Off The Gasket On The PA120s

Well the gasket that came with my pa120.3 was a bent out of shape and stuff but i still stuck it on, then the screws wernt long enough so i took it off today but the sticky residue is really hard to take off..what could i use to clean it off properly?

WD40 would be my suggestion. It dissolves most adhesives w/ ease.

Well, i think white spirit would be fine as long as you don't use a lot. Dip a bit on a rag and clean with it. As long as it's not dripping, you should be fine.

The paint on the PA rads is absolutely terrible. You can wipe it off with almost anything so I would use WD 40 first. Then try some "Goof Off" since it is basically Lighter FLuid with some kerosene.

I hate those gaskets: I have a drawer full of them. Never ever used one after the first time...difficult to remove for sure.

The paint is actually very very thin so im not too sure.

Amen to that..i regret putting it on in the first place, the Thermochill rads are great, no doubt ill be buying more but never will i use that gasket again.
