I think vid cards change often and someone with an 8800 is very likely to upgrade sooner or later, but radiators move from build to build. I would not get something that just covers the needs of my current build. I would go overkill on it as much as the case allows or my acceptance of out of case cooling gear can stomach. Who knows, maybe when he upgrades the vid card, it will be dual 4870x2's. Then we'd be like...good thing you got that 480!

say you have the 480gtx.....a cpu waterblock...a decent pump...and a gpu thats stock cooled...

options
a. get a another 480gtx a decent pump a gpu waterblock - no need to test this- $$$
b. get a gpu waterblock and add to that 480gtx loop with the cpu..then test it - $

what he said, plus, i wouldnt watercool my GFX if it was just a single card.
therefore youre looking at twice the load already.
