I have been wanting to add my gpu's to my loop for a long time, but I haven't wanted to pay a ton to do it, so I decided to not go with full coverage blocks.
Anyway, do you guys think that adding this to my loop will be too much without adding another radiator? I have a 120.3 swiftech radiator with three low speed yate loon fans. I am using 1/2" tubing (NO I'm not using 1/4" tubing like I said in that thread a while ago... I was out of my mind that day ).Do you guys think that this will be adequate? Do I NEED anything else? IandH cooling kit GPU blocks ![]()

I think it should be sufficient, I remember the Maximum's PC Dream Machine O7 was using the same radiator with the same fans to cool 2 OC'd 8800 Ultras plus a qx6700 B3 oc'd to 3.6 GHz.
Here is is. http://www.maximumpc.com/article/dream_machine_2007

I provide....LEVERAGE!

You can put all three on one loop with that triple radiator and low speed fans, just don't expect temps to be stellar.

Thats going to be a pretty heavy load with low speed YL's on it..You could do a push-pull with 6 fans on shrouds and get better temp's..A shroud is the cheapest several C you can get in WC'ing. How To: Make any Sized shroud in 2 minutes ..But with those lower cfm fans you cant look forward to good temp's at all, thats a lot of heat to put on your Swifty...Thats 2 GPU's you want to add to it right?
If you have the room for it adding another Swifty rad is a option also...Then you could still use the low cfm YL and the extra surface area will help temp's a lot... Here is a good way to see what you can expect from various cfm fans and shrouds on that rad, look here.Radiator Thermals and Radiator Calculators - Martin ..Punch in your total heat load in watts, then the fan rpm that you want to use. Then punch in the 0.1 shroud option..A little bar graph will pop up on the bottom, it shows how far your rad and fan combo will pull your coolant down towards room ambient, I'd keep that at 5C and under for good performance, the lower the better, but at least 5C and below... You can figure your OC'ed CPU wattage here. CPU Wattage Calc ..For the GPU's I just really don't know, I don't OC them, I'm a CPU-Z freak.. ..![]() The only fan RPM's I know off hand are the 86cfm Pana..86cfm Pana .2000rpm and the 115cfm Pana..Panaflo 120x38mm 115cfm .2750rpm The Swifty 320 is only good for around 400W with a 5C rad out temp, with 115cfm fans on only one side...

wow.
thanks Ira... That is some detailed advice! I think I will just buy this stuff for now and hopefully I will be safe (considering winter is coming...), and then consider adding a second swifty with some better fans when I get some more cash ![]() that wattage calc was cool... I think I may have to down clock my pc untill I can buy that second rad though with these 2 gpu's added to the loop!
