Default I need some compatibality help.

I need some help finding a mother board that has water blocks for MOSFET, NB & SB and state the water blocks. I know that ASUS has plenty - but they seem to be out-dating now. Preferably a board that has a great overclocking potential. Possibly some of the DFI LAN Party boards - Where the MOSFET comes with a Thermalright MOSTFET air cooling block but I am interested in all of them.

The Rough loop with be: BlackIce 480GTX radiator --> CPU --> Swiftech MCR 120 --> North Bridge chip --> MOSFET 1 & two --> South Bridge --> Pump (maybe Alphacool DDC Ultra) --> Front Bay reservoir, and back.

Then it will be: Swiftech MCR 320 --> VGA1 --> VGA2 --> Pump --> reservoir, modified into the side panel.

Here is some pics of the current rig - a bit old school the hardware, and the case limits my modding abilities:

I have yet to hear anything good about the mobo's with stock WC blocks on them. Why not just get a NB/SB block and place it yourself?

Default Build your own

VoodooDan here from HP. I went out and read a couple reviews on MB's with the water blocks pre-installed, and they did not get great reviews – they either had bad designs, bad thermal compounds....etc. I agree with Kneeki – you should go buy your own blocks and built it yourself. You’ll probably get much better results that way. Let me know how things turn out.

Oh god - I'm sorry guys, the way I worded that made it sound like I wanted a mobo with stock water cooling blocks, that's rare, what I mean is; I need to know of some motherboards, and what NB/SB, MOSFET, etc. are made for that particular board. Generally the sites don't list the compatability of the motherboards with the product.

So I need some people with a good knowledge of the blocks to tell me the newest types of boards, and blocks that are compatible with them. Thanks.

PSYKIST,

A great company for water blocks is Koolance. Here is the website: http://www.koolance.com/default.php

There is a good selection of blocks for different chipsets. If you are unsure which ones to get, I would suggest you determine exactly what MB you are going to buy and call up their support guys to be sure you are getting the right blocks for those chipsets.

One other thing to note – in the loop you described above (sounds like a nice setup, btw) you may want to consider putting the MOSFET 1 and 2 after the southbridge. The VRM's can run much hotter, and you would be dumping that heated coolant onto the south. It may not be optimal for you tubing routes, but if you can, I think it might be a good idea. Let me know if this works out for you.

oddly enough, most of us on the forum would say to avoid koolance as their quality control isn' great. they have mixed metals in some of their products. you could take a look into EK blocks or DangerDen.

Thanks man - I generally go for sites that are near, as in Australian, due to the fact of the recent global financial crap. But I guess looking up a a NB/SB water block then calling the company is the best way to get results. Most people don't worry about cooling these parts, but I wanted to go all out with this new rig.

I have already bought the case(LianLi v2010), radiator(BlackIce GTX 480) and 4 fans(AC Ryan blackfires). Thanks for support.

This cost me $730 Aust. OUCH!

you would actually be surprised by how many actually cool their nb.. maybe not the sb but many do cool nb and mosfets.

i would take a look at the enzotech sapphire snbw for both sb/nb, or even the swiftech chipset blocks, dangerden has some as does ek. i'm actually quite sure those wolud be much better than koolance.

here are some EK ones. these are directly from their site so you can look around online for stores of your preference.
NB: EK NB/SB5 (Acetal/Delrin or Acrylic)
SB: EK-GAX38 (Acetal/Delrin or Acrlyic)
Mosfet: EK GA X38 (Acetal/Delrin or Acrylic)

take some time to look at the companies i mentioned and you'll find most of the the things you need. enzotech also has mosfet blocks too.
