I am going to make a mini evaportative cooler I think. I want to see how it does compared to a full size one. Going with the coil and scrubby pads type instead of tall tower with shower head.

hopefully in the future they find a way to cool the cpu with a bong cooler inside the case, but this doesnt look practical

'sub ambient temps' is not synonymous with 'practicality'..even if you have a self contained phase change or tec setup...neither of those is 'practical'. Hell watercooling isnt practical. Neither is overclocking for that matter. =)

Hey if you do that coil/pad cooler you should use copper tubing and not aluminum...as for it will cause corrosion in your copper blocks. :P

![]() yeppir besides. much easier to find copper tubing than aluminum (i figure i'll just get a roll of soft copper tubing, 1/2" size from home depot. i'll grab a piece of 3" pvc to use as a form and bend the tubing around it in a coil.I was just looking at another thread. The guy was adding up a shopping list for a loop to cool a cpu and 2 gpu's. His running total was going to be over 900 last I saw. Crazy to spend that much loot I think. Maybe he will stumble in here.....

Well, at least this name gets more random traffic in here than say naming it "The (unofficial) Evaporative Open Loop Cooler Lovers Club!"
