Mike! something is WRONG with your build...if your ambient temps in the room are 23c then your realtemp should read about 21c or so on your idle cores. I am gonna say your block needs to be reseated or you didn't get your TIM quite right or something man. Do you have a fan on your bong yet? lol that would help. Your load should be at 38c or something not your idle even with a HUGE overclock.
Wait a second. There is no way his cores will idle below room temp. The 'cpu socket temperature sensor will probably show 21C idle, BUT not the cores. Especially of an i7. He also has his gpu and nb/etc on the loop.

Mike, what are your load temps? Would you mind downloading Everest and trying the free version out? Has good monitoring in it.

edit: basically he may gain a few C from a remount, but his temps are not all that far off core wise. Especially considering that is an i7.

edit: one thing you may want to try that is easy and works is to get a thigh high stocking or mesh laundry bag, etc and put that into the top of your bong tower, put ping pong balls into it and then put your shower head back in teh tower (not so far as it looks currently though )

edit: DDUck, did not forget your rack bro. However I lost the address :/ could you pm me with it again?

I came in here hoping to post pics of my $2,000+ collection only to find that for the second time on ocn ive mistaken a bong thread for a water pipe one....

I wonder if i can get a water pipe appreciation thread started(for legal patients only) and not deleted. *_*

On another note i took the time to read most of the thread and i have to say your guys's bongs are still kickass!

Go to your photobucket account. Under where it says "Upload images and video"...it says "Use CTRL to select multiple files (more options)"...click on "more options" and set the size that you want your pix resized to....

I use 800 x 600....it's good for viewing and acceptable on most forums....

Also, it looks like your shower head is pretty far down into the bong. The higher it is the better cooling it can do....

Nice setup!!!

That is a really nice build Mike. I love teh stealth bong thing you have going on too Keep an eye on the i7 on water temps thread. Hopefully there will be enough info and feedback there to serve as a guide for what you can expect.

That bong looks really nice man! OK so I am guessing your block is clogged with gunk. This happened to my block a lot at first. I put the dust cover on the fan and it helped that a ton...no clogs in months. Clean your block out or at least check it. Ill bet you find some stuff on your pins and it will help with direct contact between the block and the cold water if you clean it out.

NUB when I had my taller bong I would get sub ambient idle temps on my cores overclocked to 3.6. I'm not kidding! You need a really strong mount with some really good TIM. I was using MX-2.

Centering your shower head will help a lot also...its all of these tiny things that add up to a lot of C's. You just need to keep tweeking it tell you have things dialed in just right. You will know when you hit that sweet spot! 36 is not bad but I think you should be able to stay under 40c on full load. That should be your goal.

I see your running 3 blocks on that loop...one thing that may be hurting your is the flow. If one of your blocks (or all) are clogged even a little bit then your gonna get poor flow rates...IMO you want as high of a flow rate as you can get.

You might also think about making sure your block and CPU are flat with a razor blade when you go to clean it out. sometimes they can be concave and that will mess up your temps. Just hold the blade on to the block/chip and see if you can see light between them. If you can you may need to lap.

All and all your bong is really nice!!! Looks GREAT! I will add you to the OP welcome to the club!

EDIT::

After looking at your build log I see exactly what is wrong and I bet anything NUB will agree with me once he sees it.

On the output of your res you have a teeny tiny jet that is plugged into the 1/2" tubing. That needs to be changed out to a much larger barb. Everything about your bong is great except the flow and its that barb that's restricting it!
