Default Enough Zerex

Ok, So yea I had a gallon of distilled water and I added about 2oz of zerex to that gallon of distilled water, then added about half of that gallon mixure to my loop, so it should be enough zerex to keep the block from corroding right? Even though it is less zerex than recommended..

That is MORE than recommended, you're 100% fine. I only added 2 capfuls to my whole loop which isnt even an ounce. Once the water looks pinkish, you're fine.

But I have about half a gallon of water in my loop and and about 1oz of zerex on my loop so shouldn't I need another 1oz of zerex on my loop to do the recommended ammount?

ex.
1gallon needs 4oz
1/2 gallon needs 2oz

You can just open your resevoir and add a little bit if you're worried, but you dont NEED a certain ammount, just enough to mix with the water, plus unless you have copper and aluminum in the same loop you dont need to worry about corrosion that much. It's just there to stop any traces of corrosion and give a little heat transfer boost.

refer to my post from the other thread:

edit: just do the math guys. If you have 1 gallon of water (128 oz.), what's 5% of that? 128 * .05= 6.4 oz. meaning you need 6.4 oz. of Zerex per gallon of distilled water.

I'd say yeah, as long as you have something in there. On the other hand you don't wanna have too much cuz the viscocity of the additive will over work you pump. Don't sweat it.
