maybe to get rid of some of those nasty cables you could get some scrap black acrylic and make a little cozy wall to hide them behind? it could be placed on the bottom between the psu and the radiator on the side of the case without the mobo. anyone good build log so far subbed +rep

Project is looking really good. I'm sorry I've been sort of AFK for a while until recently. Very nice looking setup. Was curious what that case would look like with a few more bays. Nice looking chipset cooler there too. The clear acrylic optical bay brackets is a nice touch too. So are things more or less done now? Have any more pics to share? Cheers and rep++ PharaohsPaw

Things are more or less done. I was waiting to try and design my own switch for the fan lights but never got around to it. I suppose I should put a generic switch in and close up the sides. I will put some new pics up in a week or 2 of the finished case.
Off subject I'm going to start building my wife an i5 setup. Nothing fancy like this though.

Nice work, how much did this whole setup cost? And what parts were you able to cannibalize from your old system?

Looks fantastic!!! Wow....
__________________You are going to LOVE your 920. Its probably the best choice of all the i7s... so much overclocking room. Good choice to water cool the rest of your board because you are going to o/c by pushing up the base clock. You can hit pretty high o/cs with the 920 without even increasing the voltage. IF you need to increase the voltage, try to keep the voltage of the other two on-cpu buses (QPI and non-core) to within 0.5 mV of the core. For example, if you get REALLY extreme and you need to push the core up to 1.6 or 1.65, up the other non-cores to 1.45... or there abouts. I was having problems pushing my core speed really high and was concerned about the voltage going much higher but after I upped the other two non-core buses, I was able to back right off the core voltge and get lots more speed from it. Your system looks great... I am learning lots from seeing your build. Please post more pics soon.
