I have built hundreds of bongs in the last year or so....but then again I wouldn't be at the correct forum.

on a serious note.....I have read pretty much everything you wrote, in all of your wc threads....and I really do think I want to build my own custom system...I just want to know some smaller stuff, like for instance....When taking pc apart to perform maintenance do you need to drain your loop? seems obvious that its a yes....moving on.....After everything is said and done, and it is running 100%...how much will I have to pay attention to it? Can I forget about it for a few weeks? Daily routine?....also is it possible to get a block for your nb and sb on any mobo?

After seeing everyone's cable management mods, I am definitely doing that within the next week or so.....after I have that finished and everything is up and running again, I will probably see the empty case and will be dying for watercooling....I just want to know how hard it is to maintain and whether it is worth it or not......I have my q9450 pushing 3.4ghz with very low idle temps, BUT I am addicted to getting more out of it, and I have a personal goal of 4.0...

When taking apart your loop, you don't have to rip apart your loop. You can just unscrew the blocks and remove the loop while keeping it intact. You can easily purchase blocks for your NB/SB chipsets. I believe both Swiftech and EK sells them. There is however no point in cooling the SB and even the NB rarely needs cooling. You have to remember, with every additional component you add to your loop the following will happen:

- Greater restriction
- Higher temperatures
- Greater risk of leaking

As far as maintaining beyond the initial 24 hour leak testing, monthly drops of UV dye and bi-yearly changing of coolant is all that you usually need to do. As far as whether or not it is actually worth it to you or not... who can really say. From a pure performance per dollar perceptive, no it is not. From a performance or silence point of view, then absolutely. It is certainly worth it from an entertainment vantage point!

Umm I am assuming your rant was directed to me? By cheap kits I meant what I wrote... Koolance, Corsair, Zalman, TT... I don't recall ever mentioning XSPC. This is the second thread I seen you shoot your mouth off with negativity pointlessly. Can't wait to see you get banned.

"more or less" is a phrase that means almost, approximately, or pretty much. It is not read as MORE or LESS, but taken as a whole instead.

1. About; approximately: holds two tons, more or less.
2. To an undetermined degree: were more or less in agreement.

Quit hitting the "User CP" button right after I post and you won't quote and respond to what isn't there!

I misread your original sentence, conveniently neglecting the "more or" part of the sentence. Sorry!

But as I said, nice write-up!

Im posting here because i beleive that saying forget buying 'kits' is rubbish and should be removed as there is nothing wrong with them.

Take my XSPC kit for example, ive seen reviews of my kit staying on par or out performing custom kits costing 2-3x as much.
