A feser or black ice GTX triple 120 should be enough with that setup including GPU. I don't have a 130W quad, but under full load w/ my OC, I BARELY have to turn my fans on.

Edit: just saw you've got a 4870 - I don't know how much heat those throw compared to my 8800gt. So I may be completely wrong . LD

I'm a fast learner though 006! I'm confident I could do the setup for two rads if I needed to. It can't be THAT much harder than 1 rad can it?

Now, if I definately need 2 rads, would I be better off getting two mid-range rads? or one high range and one low range? Would this support memory cooling as well as GPU cooling? What about adding an extra 4870 on later?

Finally, would the pump and res. you suggested be able to handle two rads?

feser 360 = CPU

feser 240 = 2 GPU, memory

pump= Swiftech MCP655 Pump
res= EK 150 Res

hope this helps

Do you mean the Black Ice 360 and 240? Seems like Feser comes in quad, dual, triple brand names.

Okay here is my new setup:

RAD1: Feser X-Changer Triple - $130
RAD2: Feser X-Changer Dual - $100
PUMP: Laing DDC-3.2 (18W)/Swiftech MCP355 Inline 12V DC Pump - $75
TOP: XSPC Top for Laing DDC - $20
RES: EK RES 250 rv2: $51
CPU BLOCK: Swiftech Apogee GTZ CPU - $65
MOUNTING: i7 Mounting Kit - $10
GPU BLOCK: Swiftech MCW60-R2 GPU Waterblock - $47 < ---- will this work for a 4870?

Adds up to ~$500... over $150 off my original wanted price range. I haven't even gotten sinks for the gpu memory, piping, fittings, fans or anything else. Anyone have any suggestions to trim the price down a bit? Or suggestions to improve upon the current setup for even better cooling?

Yes the MCW60-R2 will work for a 4870 as it works for my 3870. The fittings are the same and the temperature dissipation and variance reduction is insane compared to air.

When you buy tubing buy 20 feet.

Don't forget to buy clamps (plastic ones) to tighten each connection to the barbs (one clamp per barb). If you buy steel ones with the screws you run the risk of crushing your plastic barbs when tightening.

Isn't 2 pumps too much? I mean won't that cause excess pressure and promote leaks?

Don't forget to consider using plumbers tape. I didn't use it and I have no leaks, but some recommend it... I am iffy about it because the Teflon makes the screws easier to unscrew and more water proof. BUT if you move the reservoir around to maintain and drain your loop, you'll put a bit of twisting pressure on the barbs, they'll dislodge and leak more easily than if you did NOT have Teflon tape. I don;t think it's all that necessary when considering it that way - what IS necessary is having good, thick O-rings (they come with the kits).

Thanks for the technical help Bad Haze! I'll definitely keep that in mind when I am actually installing the system. Just 1 pump with 2 rads. Not 2 pumps... that would be insane... unless it was with 2 loops. Any other suggestions regarding components?

Don't forget about your case and figure in how much room you have available for the radiator. You may have to do a bit of case modding for a WC setup in your case.

The Feser360 will not fit in an Armor case. I am currently working on putting a setup in my Kandalf, a variant of the Armor and I had to make a custom mounting bracket to mount the radiator on top.

Dont forget that the included tubing holes on the back of the case are only for 3/8 tubing and need to be gauged to fit 1/2 ID.
