Hey there str8maniac. I decided to go with two MCR320s which are still fairly large in size. I was hoping to keep one of the rads in the case and a second mounted in the back. Would you be willing to share some pics of your custom mounting bracket for your case? If its a variant of the armor, it may give me some ideas about placement and looping!

Thanks in advance!

My Kandalf case is an Armor chassis with a radiator mounted to a front door. Which I have done away with. So basically the same case

The rad was too tall to mount in the front...it would fit but leave only two drive bays open, and I need more than that.

It would fit on the back of the case using a radbox mount but I don't like exhaust heat from the chassis blowing right into the radiator. Just my preferance.

So I decided to mount up top. I initially wanted to mount it internally with the grill being flush with the top of the chassis, but the PSU bay was in the way.

So now I am in the process of mounting it like this (work in progress):

Using these "custom" brackets:

Basically just two L brackets bolted together. You can buy them at any hardware store. The only reason I am not working on this now is because my son is asleep and my drill will wake him up. However I hope to finish my project tommarow and will update my build log.

Ah thanks a lot! Rep+!

My Armor has a exhaust fan and audio/usb combo mount at the top of it. So it's slightly different I think. I'll keep my eyes on your blog for ideas though, thanks!

Yep, mine has the same ports on top. I just removed them for painting/drilling/mounting reasons lol. They will go back on though.

Have you thought about dissecting the solid drive cage that runs across the height of the case and put a rad at the bottom where the 3.5 drives are? I think that has a lot of possibility.

get the Cooler Master HAF.. it has slot in the top pre drilled to fit a triple RAD. I just installed my water loop tonight, the Feser TFC360 is in the top of my HAF. and it looks like it was meant to be there. it's sweet.

Also, I'd strongly suggest getting 2 radiators. i7 runs pretty hot.. I'd say get one of the best. the PA120.3, or the Feser TFC360 for your CPU as it's the most important part and will run hot. so get a top of line rad for it, and then get something like the MCR-220 for your GPU.

I made the decision to get two MCR320s, do you think an MCR320 isn't enough for an i7 and I should upgrade to a Feser or TC?
