Well for my birthday I am spending the money I got on W/C for my PC. As summer is coming and last summer I couldn't stand the fans its getting sorted early

The girlfriend is buying me one tomorrow and a pair of UV cathodes
![]() Gonna do some temp comparisons against the 9700. Just found out the store only has 5 fans in so I shall have to wait for the other 4 to come into stock before building.

Ok so got another update
![]() The M3 x 40 bolts arrived and so did the nuts, the CPU waterblock and UV cathodes are also here. Will try and get pictures tonight, Im also gonna get some comparisons between my current air cooling system temps, the 38mm fans replacing the current ones and then the watercooled temps.

I can't wait to see some pics ![]() If your GF didn't already get you a CPU WB I'd kinda hint she get you a Heatkiller. From what I've read the Heatkiller is the best performing WB ATM. Of course I think any top flight WB would be OK (what we's talkin' a 1/2 degree or so )Good luck ![]() DCing for the CURE

Well i got the thermalright xmb1 (I think), on a few reviews it was between 1-0.5'c of a EK Supreme so it will be good, im mainly upgrading because of noise not high temps.

Im kinda stumped as to where to put the res cause my rad is mounted on the roof of my case? was gonna have it at the bottom but wont it be a PITA to fill/drain?

Ok well im gonna try and get most of it done today and if possible up and running
...My RAID array decided it wanted to go bad so lost my OS so will be posting pics at the end I'll just have to remember to take them ![]() Original

Well after a few delays, I finally got some work done on the rig
...Sorry for the pics only had my phone to hand ![]() ![]() Air cooled at the start... (What it looked like) ![]() The radiator, Bit small but should just about cope. ![]() ChilledPC package arrived ![]() Lots of fans... ![]() ![]() A good morning brew to start work with. ![]() First problem, the bolts arn't long enough ![]() ![]() Start on the fan wiring. ![]() Fanned up and sleaved one side. ![]() Original Scythe 5.25" Fan Bay w/ 25mm Fan ![]() The bigger 38mm Fan mounted. ![]() Cut lots of bolts to mount all over, Radgrill to case, fans to the bays and fans to the rad. ![]() Masked Up For Cutting. ![]() Cut ![]() ![]() Grill attached. ![]() Where the pump will be, excuse the foot ![]() ![]() Mobo in and playing with res locations. ![]() So far from the side... ![]() And the front. ![]() New chipset fan. Should be able to do some more on sunday/monday
