Default Not sure whether to watercool

Just wanted some advice on watercooling. My current temps are around 51 load with my tower 112 heatsink with 1.66 vcore, how much lower would my temps be if I got a decent watercooling system. My GPU is ay 60 degrees so i'd probably cool that aswell if it was worth it.

If anybody could suggest some beginners w/c parts I would be very grateful

Thanks
Aaron

Edit: i'm already using as5

Watercooling is a pretty big investment. It's also kind of high maintainance. If you have the money and you're motivated, it could be great, but if you're lazy(like me) or don't have much cash, then you might want to consider other options.

If your into tweaking stuff out like me then water cooling is the way to go. I would suspect you could get your temps down to the mid 30s with a good kit or custom setup. IF you could get your temps down that 4000+ sd will prob get up to 2.8 or even 3.0ghz with out to much issue. I think you vcore is a little high for the speed you have the processor at assuming you still have it at 2.6. Do you need it that high to get it stable.
As far a customer water cooling goes, most ppl here seem to perfer Dangerden components.

Thanks for the responces. Currently im at 1.66v and 225 fsb, 17ghz and its unstable so I was thinking of raising vcore to help but my temps are a bit too high to raise it anymore.

I'll have a look at stuff to buy then. How much does a decent custom setup cost approx?

Thanks

I bought my complete danger den setup off neweeg for 180$ TDX,1/2 id tubing 120mm blackice extreme rad, resivior, fans and all hardware included... This took me from not being able to use my 3700DTR at all to runnin 26*c idle and 31*c under fullload at stock volts...I am now at 2840 and 1.95 vcore load temps still stay under 45*c..

But water is well worth I feel cause future upgrades really only require a new water block which is close to what a great air cooler would cost..It's just a lot money the FIRST time around!

Okay so im leaning towards going watercooled now then. What ID should I get 1/2 ?

Also I have a zalman vf700 on my GPU which is at 60c should I watercool this as well@

Current idea for setup.

Pump - - Drivebay res - - CPU - - 160 x 80 mm rad mounted on back of case - - GPU - - Pump.

What coolant should I use? distilled water?

Also what are the best 80mm fans to put on the case mounted rad. I would like them to be fairly quiet but will probably get a fan controller, any ideas for a decent one?

Thanks a lot
Aaron

buy deionized water and add a water cooling additive

for best results
Pump - - Drivebay res - - CPU - - 160 x 80 mm rad mounted on back of case - - GPU - - 160 x 80 mm rad mounted in the front of case -- pump.
