Just put everything on order so I figured I might as well make a work log thread.

Update1: Cut some holes for the two UV light switches in the front 5.25 panel. I made one hole a tiny bit too big so I had to break out the mig welder and put some small tacks on there to later grind off again with the dremel, hopefully this time to the right dimensions. ![]() ![]() Working on a shroud for my BIX 480 Here is the modification to the hard drive mount... Apparently it mounts through the 120mm fan holes... Thanks for including instructions MM! ![]() ![]() Need to get this thing mounted. ![]() Here is my idea for a desk with the TV modeled in there. I am having fun with sketchup =p. The desk is 11'x5'. I am thinking about cutting a plate that will fit up under the glass probably about 1 inch space between the glass and the cut plate. The plate will have a crazy design like a circuit board or something that I am designing right now. I will throw some channel on it and a backplate and then load it with some red led's inside it so it glows red up through the glass.

This doesn't have anything to do with my build but could you point me toward a guide on how to get my overclocks verified ira? I have a few hz I have hit that I am proud of and I never got them verified, was planning on hopping on the old stress bench and giving my hardware a workout this weekend.

I usually just do a bunch of runs and each one that is better I over-write the older one on the USB stick, then when I'm done OC'ing and more stable I'll go to CPU-Z and do the validation. It sounds 10 times harder then it is to do. Be sure to go to that site and look for new versions of CPU-Z, they come out with new ones all the time and they won't validate the older version if thats what your using. I've lost a few good OC validations from that. I like saving to a USB stick as fast as I can in case I crash, that way it will still be accessable to me when I hit desk top again.

I've thought of using that same exact case setup when I rework my rig.
Definitely want to see that case filled up.

From the looks of the pics on their site it won't look too filled up. It's huge and only has 3 bay drives (I only need 2) and also from the pics look like it has no HD mounts unless it's one of the 5.25 bays. I was going to custom make a mount for it to go along with the case.

They attach directly to 120mm fans, pretty neat stuff.
