There is a blue locktite for sealing and retaining the fitting like a lock washer does... available at auto part stores! I prefer it over the tape in all fluid apps because it seals well and does "lock" the fitting (or fastener) from getting loose... great thing is it will not cause any difficulties when you remove the fitting (fastener)... it removes with the same load you installed it with

Worm clamps can be a pain on smaller diameter setups with thin tube!
Set the retainer end 1/3 apart from the others and draw em tight... dont clip them untill your sure they are sealed!

Put the first one at 12:00 o'clock, second at 4:00 and the third at 8:00 or do not have the retaining ends all in the same place
Oh... and the truth is there is only 1 stupid question... that is the one that is NOT asked

Worm clamps are hit n miss on my setup. They work fine on my Maze4 but leak on my pump & res. I just use 3 zip ties per fitting, pull tight with pliers and cut to size accordingly. Overtightening metal clamps might break stuff but IMO it's harder to overtighten plastic zip ties which is why I feel safer using them.

Good poing actually... if he has any plastic fittings worm clamps could cause fractures in them
