The only thing I'm crunching right now is the Sonex though. It's thick(1") and I'm seriously considering swapping it out for some thinner and black/grey neoprene mats instead. I think that will call for a cleaner inside although I'd be compromising a bit on the sound dampening. There won't be any highspeed fans in there so...... It's a tough decision.

I bet neoprene would work about as well, I don't know that for a fact, but I use a lot of neoprene for condensation proofing and its some dense stuff.
If you shroud your rad fans that is supposed to help with the fan noise to.

Hey thanks!
The scale just tipped over, it's going to be neoprene. I have to order some more tubing so might as well add some neoprene mats.

How thick of neoprene are you going to get?

Not very thick. One cm tops. I'll call a friend who runs a car stereo shop. Maybe he got some pointers. The important thing though is that is has to be black or dark grey, not too thick and ok dampening qualities.

I bet 3/8" will be more then enough. Most of it I get here is a black, though I have seen a few other colors.
How are you going to hang it? Staples or glue, I bet vlecro would hold it pretty well and you could remove it easily if you ever need to. However you do it I'm sure it will work well, that's shaping up to be one sick rad-box, it's a one of a kind!..
