Default Homemade Waterblock #2

OK I am getting bored and winter is coming so I have decided to start on my second waterblock. #1 was a great success so I hope this one will be even better with a two outlet design and prettier with a brass top plate (will look like gold). Here is the first pic, stay tuned I will post as progress is made. I am also working on a design for #3 that should work as well as the much praised G4 storm.

Good start... the "turn" points seem a bit small though! Also... consider snaking the two directional dividers!

well I am thinking that the turn points should be restricted but equal to the inlet combined to make sure it travels through both with equal volume. You think I should curve them like this? Thanks for the input Duke

Like Duke said, I think the protruding walls seem a bit big. If the water has to be thrown around a corner, your pump is going to be working too hard...maybe think more circular? I'm no fluid mechanics or thermodynamics PhD, but I'd make like a more sideways S...just input.

Maybe some more surface area in the channel? Maybe it should be more like fins, less like smooth. Idk what I'm talking about...

Remember that this is just a drawing to get basic dimensions and placement, there will be a lot of hand filing and customization when I actually get into it. The top of the walls will need to be thick to support the gasket but will be filed into a V shape towards the bottom.

Actually, if your pump can handle some pressue, that is good.
It creates a lot of turbulence, which is exactly what you want.

Worked on the top plate some today. I taped the paper template onto the brass plate and center punched the holes with a carbide punch, Center drilled each hole and used a step drill (this saves alot of time by not switching bits) for the inlet/outlet holes then tapped them 1/4npt, Now I can start shaping it. It is going to be harder than the copper one, brass is a lot tougher. I have the time to work on it though I have to order a block of copper from danger den. I still have a huge chunk of copper but it will save me lots of time buying it pre cut. Anyway here are the pics:
