Things that need pure water. Essentially distilled water is water that was steemed out of something and caught in something else. Leaving the crap behind when it turned to steam. Keeps stuff from contaminating your loop and corroding it. Also prevents freak accidents where something in the water reacts with something the water is mixed with in labs and what not. Also used for some bottling to ensure that taste is as similar as possible throught all the bottled products.

The reason you just dont use normal water is because in reality water is a very very poor conductor. What happens is the normal water is not just H2O and instead has other chemicals in it (Hydrogen likes to bond with tons of things) and those addatives that attached themselves to the H2O conduct the electricity. Distilled and Deionized water is straight H2O and thus theroetically will not conduct the electricty that is passed through it, thus saving your computer in case of a leak.

would Reverse Osmosis water be ok? i have a thing to make it in my garrage, its water thats been filterd to remove impurities but it still leaves something like 5% of them. Also, does the corrosion break the waterblocks?
i want to make sure so i dont break my loop lol.

i have a water distiller!!
i use distilled for my autoclave (sterilizer..im a tattoo artist) and i use it in my pc :P

I live in Southport, the postage would cost loads lol, Would all tattoo artists use it? there are a few tattoo places where i live.

Ive been using de-ionzied for over 2 years now..i never changed my water for a year once and the blocks still look new..just get the de-ionized.

Battery water is distilled, so that's actually a good idea.
