I wouldn't recommend using deionized water in metal/plastics, only glass. It'll slowly pick up any "loose" particles and could deposit them elsewhere, might even slowly damage your hardware. It's termed "hungry" water because of that property.
Distilled will work fine, as the only things you're worried about in these applications are nutrients, heavy metals, and larger particles, which distillation removes.

if you add something like pt nuke to it, it will gain its ions back from it. use deionized + pt nuke.

what you just said does not have sense.. if i use pt nuke it will "gain the ions back" then you said "use it"

I think he means the PT Nuke will satisfy the deionized water's desire for more ions, so it won't take them from the metal in your loop, meaning it won't cause corrosion.

I really don't know "jack" about the properties of distilled water vs ionized water. I read somewhere that it was corrosive in computer cooling loops . (both are unstabe and corrosive, it just seems ionized H2O is more unstable and corrosive ) I've always used distilled (double distilled ) water and PT Nuke in my cooling loops and I ain't never had no problemos. (sometimes I just add a little Pentosin for bling ) Just go to Google and let your fingers do the typing of questions . I found, IMO, a pretty good forum post concerning computer water cooling and how to find it in Europe (hell, in the good ole' USA you just needs to go to your local food store ) The post URL is below

DI water is fine. It is essentially void of ionic particles such as Cl, Na, Si, etc. it does not necessarily guarantee that it is absent of organic particles but for the most part it should be pretty clean. It is not going to corrode your parts any faster than distilled water.

It is not some "hungry" animal looking to rip particles off your components. It will just have a higher solubility to any ions and thus allowing any impurities to stay dissolved in solution rather than plating out onto your heat sinks and other components.

...short version

De-ionized water is fine
