Default [Build] Sanderz' "Flash Penguin"

Hey guys, I've been working on building a new i7 rig for some time now, and I just finished it! I haven't even had time to overclock, but I thought I'd post this before moving onto that.

Don't ask exactly why I named it "Fash Penguin" lol. My previous rig was named penguin, and this one IS faster, so Flash Penguin seemed appropriate.

Here's a list of all the parts used in this build...

CPU: Xeon W3520
Mobo: X58 Classified E760
Ram: G.Skill DDR3 2000 @9.9.9.27
Video Cards: 8800 GT sli (still working on new cards lol)
PSU: BFG ES-800

Watercooling stuff
CPU Block: GTZ
NB/SB block: Koolance block
Mosfets: Bitspower
Radiators: Feser 360 + Black Ice GTX 240
Pump: D5 with EK-D5 X-Top rev.2
Res: Swiftech Microres
Tubing: Tygon R-3603

It was a blast setting up. I accidently ordered too much Feser One fluid, so now I have two extra bottles just waiting to be used. My loop is as follows.

Pump -> Feser 360 -> GTZ -> GTX 240 -> NB/SB block -> Mosfet Block -> Res -> Pump

And now for pictures

Leak testing, it was killing me to have to do this, I just wanted to set it all up immediately!

This is my finished build during the day. Did a few mods along the way: the classic window mod, a hard drive rack mod, and LED mod on the top fan.

Nighttime pics...

Looks like she's gonna be a good overclocker too. This is what she's sitting at right now at stock speeds....

Thanks for looking! Comments are more than welcome.

First off, I would like to say, Hellofva build. I like. Im thinking about the same cooler fluid. You said you bought to much, pm me with details if you want to sell it. I migh get it from you.

Second, you bought the new top for the 655, how is it? I saw it and already have it on my wish list. I really it. Whats your take on it? I want it because it gives me the option to use my own barbs without drilling out the plastic one that comes with the pump.

Third, nice choice on the tygon tubing. I bought this also. Love it, easy to use and quite sturdy.

I really like the top, as being able to use my own barbs is great. I wouldn't have been able to fit the tubing in there otherwise.

Yep, they're the Xiggy fans, I love em'

Status update on the overclocking. I'm at 3500 Mhz @ 1.15v stable. But now I've run into a snag.

Whenever I try 180 BLK or higher, I get a BSOD with the stop code: 0x00000124.

I've tried looking it up online, and it seems to be a hardware related problem, but I don't know what it could be! Everyone is saying it's video card/sound card related, so I might try reinstalling 7 and try overclocking before installing my video/sound drivers, see if that fixes it.

Well thats great news about the top. helped make my decision.

As for the BSOD, your going to need to up the ICH voltage some. Thats your northbridge. take it to 1.3volts. Thats what I did and it seemed to fix the problem.

Nice looking build, especially the glow at nighttime. I might have to get parts for my own water cooling kit.
