Default Can I adapt from 1/2 to 1/4 w/o losing flow?

Self explanatory, I found this water blcok for my gpu (x850-xt-agp) and really want it since it's the only prduct that i know of that cools both memory and core on my video card. Only other one i found that will do it is by aqua computer and it's nearly impossible to find and is aluminum anyway. I already have a maze 4 gpu acetal version and it server me well, keeping load temps under 30*C almost always, but i have now way to cool memory short of ordering my favorite tweakmonster ramsinks.

A couple questions:
1.This block is 1/4" and everything else is 1/2" is there some sort of way to split 1/2" into 2 1/4" and let one go empty and rejoin them w/ a y or would that make no water flow trough block since it takes least restrictive route?
2. Or should i just stick w/ maze 4 and use ramsinks... which are unfortunatley premanent since i use arctic adhesive compund?
3. Would i really gain any overclocking overhead by water cooling memory? I know kinda same as question 2..

Thanks in advance

You could, but you'd lose massive flow. That's a big flow hit, especially since you're next throwing it through a block, even more restrictive. I'd stick with a MAZE4.
