Default xspc 240 vs black ice 240 gtx

hi all, was wondering which would provide me with better cooling performance? the gtx 240 because it has more fins per inch?

keep in mind i'll probably be using panaflo 38mm high speed fans, as noise isn't too much of a factor for me. also, it will be mounted on a radbox externally probably.

the gtx will outperform the xspc when using med to high cfm fans. Using those high speed panaflo's, it should easily out perform the xspc.

Here is a graph comparing various triple rads, it should give you an idea of how their smaller brothers perform.

Mike is right, and using those panaflos on a rx240 will just be overkill.

hmm maybe i should reconsider not going with the RX360 myself. Ill be using 86CFM fans but undervolting them.

I know your talking about the 240 rads

EDIT: Can't beat this price. Definitely a Steal

one quick question, on the topic of radiators. how does one go about setting up a pull/ push setup? do you set one set of fans as exhaust and one as intake? im a little fuzzy on the actual setting up of the fans. also, are those feser tfc exchangers any good or is it just to cash in? thanks for the help guys. gtx240 is on the way

Actually, I have a RX360 and it is WAY badass with the San Ace 1011's. Never tried the Black Ice series so I couldnt tell ya. All I know is I love my RX360.

elaborate please :3

can't seem to find anything about it online after hours of looking

do you have 1 layer of fans on the radiator pulling fresh air in, followed by the radiator, followed by another layer of fans pushing that air into the case?

or is it visa versa, set of fans pushing air into the rad, then the rad, then a set of fans pulling that air through the rad? is that right?? seem to be having a tough time comprehending.

That is correct. Basically you are sandwiching the rad with fans and all the fans are facing the same direction.
