Are the Koolance kits that come with some Lian-Li cases any good? If they are, this would be a nice addition.

Nope there is no real benefit to watercooling memory other than cosmetic appeal. Even with high voltages it doesn't work any better than having a fan blow on them.

1. its useless (ram chips give out no more than 2-3w of heat each, so a simple fan blowing over them is all you need to cool them - even with 3.6v into a set of redlines
2. its made out of aluminum
3. it uses small-ID tubing

I thinkl it a good idea, might make OCing ram go alot higher. I have also been in the market for ram cooling.

Edit: WOOOOT!!!!!!!! 1,000 posts.

No I have not done it personally on my memory however it was done several times over at XS. Even with pelts, it's a waste of time.

When I was playing with DI a few years ago, the motherboard and memory did get cold enough to frost over and I could not run my memory any faster.

The idea is certainly good but in reality it's a gimmick. As long as users are not expecting more performance from their memory then by all means memory waterblocks help differentiate machines.
