Hey Guys! So I've decided to redo my case/build and I wated to share it with OCN. First, I will be upgrading to i7, and then I will be adding a GPU loop I plan to paint my Cosmos S fully black, and put a black tinted window on the front, and make the GPU loop in red. The build/project is sort of expensive, so it may take a while before i get all my parts in (need to make some $$). However, I will do the best to update it, without crapping my thread. So without further ado, here's the build list:
Hardware Motherboard: Asus Rampage II Extreme * $410 CAD RAM: G.Skill Trident 6GB 3x2GB 2000mhz * $165 CAD Power Supply: Corsair HX1000W Modular * $250 CAD GPU 1: EVGA E-GEFORCE GTX295 (used) * $315 CAD GPU 2: A used GTX 295 bought off OCN * 460 CPU: Intel Core i7 920 D0 SLBEJ * 350 CAD Water Cooling Pump: Swiftech MCP655 * $69 CAD Radiator: Swiftech MCR320-QP Radiator * $65 CAD Tubing: Primochill UV Red Tubing 1/2ID 3/4OD * $20 CAD GPU Water Blocks: 2 x HEATKILLER GPU-X² GTX295 Water Block * $445 CAD Case Mod For the case, I'll use 2 cans of Self-etching primer, regular primer and a semi-gloss black paint. For the plastic (if i decide to do it), I will put a layer of gloss clear coat. For the window, I will replace my clear acrylic window with a black-tinted window. I already have a MCR320 Radiator mounted on the top, so I will mount the seonc one in the 5.25 bays. I'll be using fans which have UV Green blades and a black casing, and I will use some UV lighting to light them up. and this will be in the drive bays, in the front of the computer.

I recieved my motherboard, RAM and the Swiftech Apogee GTZ Core i7 Hold Down plate. From the looks of it, I will need to drain my loop before i can install it, because I'll need to take apart the block itself.
![]() I also got my water cooling shipment (radiator's on backorder) with some GELID UV Green Fans (the ones i mentioned earlier).

warning, memory uses the elphida (SP?) chips which are causing manufacturers such as Corsair to recall memory due to excessive recalls, do some investigation first.
edit: otherwise looks good , going to watch this one and enjoy im sure.

thanks for your interest guys! I'll be posting pics of everything I do on here, so i have a work log. I went out to buy some spray paint: I bought 2 primers and 2 semi-gloss blacks, but Home Depot didn't seem to have any self-etching paint, so I'm on my way to NAPA Auto to see if i can pick some up. I'll also need to get some of that painter's tape. and I'll need to start taking apart my computer down to the bare metal.
![]() ![]() thanks for letting me know about that elpida chip issue. I can't do much now, since i just recieved my RAM. Would you suggest me RMA'ing it back and going for a different one? I know many people who have used this without problems (ericeod for one). I won't be running it at 2000mhz anyways, probably 1600 or 1800 if i can get it stable that high. I just want the headroom to make sure RAM isn't my limiting factor in this build
