Well I seem to be having a really big problem. I hooked up everything properly yet my temps in IntelBurnTest are at 85*c max. My air temps were 77*c max. I know for a fact that it's supposed to be much much better. The member before me got 55*c with a core i7. I don't feel my water or the block heat up at all even though I put on good paste and have it on really tight. I don't understand what could be wrong. Can anyone help me out?

I have:

Res/Rad > Pump > CPU Block > Res/Rad

Completely bled it already? Pump is going strong?

It should also be ''Pump -> rad -> block''. The pump might be adding a little heat. Whether or not it makes a big difference I do not know. I'll leave that to the experts.

I have tried with pump before rad and it made no difference. Pump is spinning ~1700 rpm with fully bled system. Has anyone encountered something like this when their water isn't hot but the temps say they are REALLY high?

OK I have tried a different mounting kit for the block and now have:

Res/Rad > CPU Block > Pump > Res/Rad (using distilled water)

It's 80*F in my room.

And now I'm maxing at 75*C in IntelBurnTest. This is still ridiculously hot.

Im running E8600 at 4.25GHz and 1.33v at idle, 1.31 at load. Stable but running too hot for water. Anyone help me please??

OK guys well I seem to have figured out my problem. I just checked the edge of my cpu block and it turns out it has a decent inward dip right in the center, meaning missing contact with the cpu and thus higher temps. I need someone to recommend me a known good working lapping method for cpu blocks so I can correct this issue.
