Default Horror Story

Anyone have a horror story using WC. I am looking for as many as possible. Please tell the story, what went wrong and why, how did it affect your system, and how you fixed the problem or made sure that it wouldn't happen again.

Thanks.

I had a close call on a previous computer of mine, i left the computer on overnight for folding, and my pump died on me. I turned of most of the auto shutoff features of my asus motherboard off at that time (doing a lot of OCing that day). Mostly temp and fan readings, shuting off pwm, motherboard and case heat sensors. I however did let my CPU temp say on so it would shut down @ 70c. That was really lucky, it did no damage to my CPU, and to my waterblock either. I wouldnt be too worried about it, just make shure you have that feature or something like that on, because tubes can bend (allowing no waterflow), radiators can break along with pumps.

That's why I hav anti-kink springs around the bends in tubing, and the radiator is mounted in the base of the case with an inch of clearance underneath

Worst thing i've had to go through so far is spilling water all over my graphics card still works, though

I recently bought a water cooling kit and even though it's only entry level, it's outperforming my old air cooling set-up, which I'm happy about The only problem I have encountered so far, is that the tubes tend to kink and stop the water flow. I would love to know where you get these "anti-kink springs" from, as I would very much like to get some

Please can you provide a link, or let me know where you got these "anti-kink springs" from. Thanks!

EDIT: Sorry for going a little btw TheX

I reas5'ed one day, and did not realize that I had loosened one of the hose clamps on the CPU block. I had a spot as big around as a half doller on my video card right next to the socket, and water on my mobo. when I fired up the system. I couldn't figure out why it would not boot, untill I saw the water. I let it dry out and now it works fine.
