Default [FINISHED!] B-2 Spirit (of Computing)

Well after building a TJ-07 based PC from scratch a few months ago, I've been lazy and gaming on my new rig rather that completing finishing touches, such as lighting or graphics, but at long last, it is complete.

Never built a PC before, let alone a WC one, so I have all of you to thank for your advice over the past few weeks!

I give you B-2 Spirit (of Computing)!

Most of the parts

A few mins with a Dremmel

...and the case takes a 360 rad!

Modding the bottom tray to make room for cables and tubing

Final case modification: cut out CPU w/block backplate and remove the top bracket so the top rad will fit

Bottom rad and pumps in place

It was at this point when I offered up the 2nd Gen 360 rad and realised that the mobo wouldn't slot into place Bang goes my idea of testing my loops overnight! So back to the drawing board in arranging where the two pumps and thicker Gen 2 rad goes.

So I figured the thinner rad would not get in the way of the mobo, so the evening wasn't entirely wasted...

Several hours later, I've managed to get the huge PSU, 360 GTX and 2 Laing pumps 'n' res in the bottom part of the TJ. No mean feat I can tell you!

Now that's out of the way, I can start the tubing. Starting to resemble a computer at last...

Well this is as far as I got this evening. I've run out of tubing, so I'll need to order another 2 ft or so, and Performance PC gave me a bunch of ½ OD clamps, instead of ½ ID, so I called them and because they wanted to go through the RMA process for $5 worth of tube clamps, I hung up! I ordered some from those nice people at FrozenCPU along with wiring and molex/fan connecters for cable management. Guess I'll have to down tools until they arrive in the mail, but I can mod my fan controller and lap my CPU while I wait...

Problem with the Sunbeam fan controller is that it's a sea of bright blue and red! So a quick visit to Radioshack for a handful of resistors was in order. Having already gotten some spray paint and some white/green LEDs, a much cleaner looking fan controller that is less bright is the result!

Changed my mind about the alleged 'green' clamps, so had gotten some UV ones. Not exactly the colour I was looking for, but it actually doesn't look too bad against the bright green.

So now the water loops are complete and ready for a leak-test this weekend...wish me luck!

Well the leak test was a success so now the hardware goes in...

Business end of the PC looking good!

To my amazement, everything works...no RMAs...WOOT!

As you can see, plenty of cable modding to do *sigh* lol

Cable modding almost complete

Should have cut tabs in the case, for the rad...
Basically all that holds your rad in there is the grille itself, right?

Kinda....grill attached to case, but fans & rad attached to grill- Grill is fairly thick and shouldn't bend
