Well it finally arrived. I'll cut to the chase
![]() The block base is nickel-plated solid copper. There isn't much in the way of pins or channels for turbulence but there are 4 very shallow channels to create some turbulence. The body is acetal and it looks as though the flow needs to go in one direction only. (Enter on the left and exit on the right in the internal pic) The front plate is purely decorative and does not contact the cooling liquid and so I think it's either nickel-plated aluminum or copper. The kit came with (2) Bitspower 90-degree elbow and a single SLI/quick disconnect as well as a bunch of thermal pads, Arctic Silver 5, spare rubber gasket and some nice thumb-screw type mounting screws. Moar install pics shortly... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

That is hot. I'm looking at the 4870X2 version of this block for my card. Let us know how it works.

Well it definitely fits
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Temps are damn good I must say. Especially because there isn't much as far as pins for turbulence. Only 4 channels in the block over the core. Idles at 35c with an ambient of 25c. Awesome ![]() 54c Max temp after a little over 8 minutes of stressing with FurMark. Settings for FurMark were:
![]() All-in-all i'd say this block is great for this card

![]() On a side note, I upgraded to the 190.38 and 190.62 drivers but both drivers seem to be limiting my overclock No matter how high I set the clock speed (in Rivatuner or EVGA Precision) the max clock speed would only read 740mhz. I've never had a problem with new drivers limiting my overclocks before... (With the 185.20 drivers I was able to get the core clock to 800mhz even though it wasn't stable)In addition, it seems like upgrading to those drivers somehow changed the color settings. All the colors (desktop, in-game, etc) appear more saturated and over-exposed. Yellow folders appear almost orange, dark reds appear to be vivid red - I don't like it. Then I tried the 186.18 and nothing changed. I did a system restore all the way back to 185.20 beta drivers and the colors seem to have returned to normal and hopefully i'll be able to get back to overclocking and get some new numbers and temps. Just seems really odd to me that the newer drivers are giving me issues with my overclocks and color issues as well.

these blocks are great. I'm using the VG-NGTX285B and temps never get above 60c (27c room temp) overclocked to 730/1674/1360
