XSPC is a good low-flow radiator, meaning it is optimized for low speed fans, where as the BI GTX is optimized for high speed/high static pressure fans. It works just fine at low speed but really starts to shine when you turn the speed up. Thats why I recommend this radiator. It works well as a low speed, low noise radiator and then if you want extra cooling you just turn the fans up and you have one of the best, if not THE best, performing radiator on the market. The PA (thermochill) is also a low-medium speed optimized radiator.

Mainly because BlackIce GTX is the best rad. If you look at some of the tests they do here youll see that the BI GTX always comes out on top.

I love my Black Ice Extreme 240. It's pretty, and it works.

Thermochill radiators are good, but they use funny spacing and funny threading, and are generally a pain in the butt.

You said you want a silent PC..for that reason, do not go with the Black Ice GTX series, as their performance with silent fans is nothing special, when using higher speed fans is where they shine. So go with either a Thermochill PA rad, XSPC RX series or Feser X-changers.

What he said. ^^

The BI GTX Series need high-speed fans to be able to push air through their dense fins.

A Thermochill PA triple radiator would be good for lowspeed/silent fans while still keeping awesome temperatures. Yate Loon Low, or Medium speed fans would work well on the Thermochill radiator.

My BIX does quite nicely with some medium-speed Scythe S-Flex fans on it.

My BI GTX does amazingly without high speed fans. You don't NEED high speed fans for thw BI GTX to perform well, just that it performs AMAZINGLY when you do use high speed fans. When you buy anything else you are limiting yourself to how much heatdump you can get where as if you buy the BI GTX and put some higher speed fans on it (with them turned down through a fan controller) you still get nearly just as low temps as well as the headroom to blow the other radiators out of the water if you want to turn the fan speed up.

Do not get the thermochill or the XSPC.

Hmm. was thinking of maybe putting these:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835233015

Relatively silent fans into the case. at 12v they go with 61 cfm. and if you tune them down to 7v, they go with 40 cfm. and only run 20 DBa, wouldnt they match the black ice rad?

Not true. The BI GTX will perform fine with lower speed fans, the fact that it begins to really kick ass when you turn the CFM and static pressure up doesn't mean it needs high-speed fans.

Nope, this is what you want. Panaflo's are super quiet and push a whole lot of air. You will need a 120x38mm fan so you can get some static pressure. The BI GTX has a high fin density and therefore needs more pressure to push air through the radiator.

Let me explain why I recommend this to you. As an overclocking enthusiast I like to push my equipment to the next level all the time. I understand that some people aren't like this, but I can almost guarantee you will get the urge one day to see what your system really can do. That is when you will want the BI GTX with some high-speed fans. Turn the fans up, let the temps drop and then overclock like crazy. Then when you have fulfilled your urge you can turn the fans back down and have your watercooling perform just as well as the next silent watercooler.

Make sure there's room for 38mm fans with such a thick radiator before you buy them, if you're mounting internally. My CM690 doesn't really have room.
