Default Help with watercooling setup

Hey everyone.

This would be my first build with watercooling, so i need some advice on what my radiator needs would be for a:
i7 920 D0 OC'ed to 3.8 GHz
2x HD5850

I would like to keep it all internal, and case will maximum fit 1x 360 and 1x 240. And i would like to keep it low noise, dont want a jet engine in my bedroom.

I was thinking about using the DDC3.2 with XSPC top and res, would you suggest doing a single loop, or a dual loop? One for the CPU and one for the GPUs?
What kind of radiators would you suggest for the setup?
What kind of fans would you suggest?

Thanks in advance, i really appreciate it.

Oh yea, the system would be used for gaming and movies and stuff, so no need for extreme low temps, would just like a cool and silent system. Think Air Cooling is too loud.

I would recommend the GTX black ice series for the radiators with some 120x38mm Panaflos, highest speed, and pair it with a fan controller in order to turn them down to low-noise. Most of the high speed fans cost the same as low-speed fans so you might as well buy the fast ones and use the fan controller.

You can do it on one loop. Put the CPU on the 240, and the GPUs on the 360. Your order would therefore be something like Pump > CPU > 240 > GPUx2 > 360 > reservoir. Some people prefer to put a radiator in front of their CPU, but it doesn't really do much. Your pump really won't add any noticeable heat. Use the Black Ice radiators. Your pump and reservoir plan is good.

I would say that there's no real need for WC if you're just gonna OC a D0 to 3.8Ghz. Not worth the expense (and maintenance) of a dual-loop set up and not push it to 4.5...

Thanks alot for the fast replys!! +rep to alle of you.

Well. My initial OC would be to 3.8 GHz and then maybe push it a bit more if its stable and temps are good.

Nice. I will stick with the Black Ice rads then. What is the difference in BI and BI Stealth? The size is different yes, but does it affect cooling? or does it require higher CFM fans?

Also. what kind of tubing size would you recommend? 1/2? or bigger/smaller??

But he can keep his temperatures good and keep his noise down.

Black Ice Stealth is awful. The regular models run water through twice, so that it cools better, but the Stealth only runs it through once. It's skinnier so that you can fit it in more easily.

1/2 inch tubing is good, and easy to find. 7/8 fits a little tighter, but it's harder to install, and with internal mounted radiators, it can already be pretty difficult.

Here is what you want for a good i7 watercooling rig

HK 3.0 waterblock
BI GTX 360 + BI GTX 240
MCP 355 (with the aftermarket XSPC top)
Some type of resevoir
Some type of 1/2 tubing
120x38mm Panaflos (you need the 120x38mm for the static pressure)
Rhebous fan controller

There are other things like clamps and whatnot but I didn't mention those.

The stealth is not a good radiator.

So if you had to make a radiator choice if you could pick anyone out of the bunch. you would stick with the black ice series? why not XSPC (the cheaper alternative) or PA(A tad more expensive) or someone like that?
