Default 5.25 Bay Resevoir + Heatercore on top

So, this is probably what I'm going to do once I get my Antec P180, throw a 5.25 res in, and mount the heatercore up on top of the case. Question is, if I mount the heatercore on top, and the res below it, won't it cause the res to fill up and the heatercore to drain, as it's the highest part in the loop? How would one go about using a res, but also mounting the heatercore on top?

As long as you mount the RES is the very top 5.25 bay, and have your two (or one with a single HC) 120mm fans between the radiator and the top of the case, the Rad will be below the Reservoir.
Good luck.

That's what I'm talking about, 5-minute Paint is killer!

Anyway, that's the setup I'm talking about. The res is indeed below the radiator, so it isn't possible, is it?

Burn I have my setup with the reservoir lower than the radiator. When I did my initial water fill and tested my system I had my radiator lower then the reservoir. When all the air was out of the water system I went ahead and mounted it at the higher point and there were no problems. One thing to consider is that any air in the system is more likely to get caught in the radiator with it being the highest point in the system. Just make sure you have a good pump. In the pic my computer is running.

Well, then you will just have to take more time bleeding air from your system. What you do is run the loop for about 24 hours with the reservoir on top, to make sure there is no air in the lines. Shaking blocks and especially the radiator will get out almost all of the air. Top off the reservior when you feel there is no air left. A good indicator of this is when you no longer here you pump chop the water, which only happens with air. Then you tightly close the reservoir with the cap. (It comes with that reservoir.) Leak test it, and no problems should arise. I have seen many such setups, with the reservoir below the other components.
Here is a video with the DD 5.25 reservoir below other components. This guy did a poor job bleeding the air out, but you see that the cap keeps the liquid in.

Yeah, I see. So it's just when filling and bleeding, that you need to have it higher. Gotcha. Thanks guys! I wasn't too sure on it, so that's why I was asking.

Yeah I did actually, thanks a bunch for reminding me. I did end up going with the Swiftech MCRES-525 reservoir, and it works like a champ. I kept the radiator on the floor due to the fact that I got a new P180 and didn't want to dig into the top of the case. It's running awesome right now and I can't wait to see how it performs in the long run!
