Default Series vs Parallel?

Does anyone have any info concerning W/C circuit setup comparing series versus parallel? I have plenty of pump(Swiftech MCP655) and Swiftech Blocks(Apogee GTX with a MCW-NBMAX to be added soon).
Thanks for any info-Chuck

Run serial.

NB block generally have less resistence... so more water would be flowing through your NB. While your NB may get better temps, your CPU will be hotter. Not worth it.

Series circuit, but with rad between the CPU and pump.

If you go parallel more water might go by the NB instead of the CPU because of lower resistance.

edit: DuckieHo ninja-edited my response into his Read just "Run serial." before, lol. Take that!

as far as I know from my fluid dynamics physics course you should keep your flows in series to reduce tubulent flows. but you are trying to reduce heat here and I think that when you have more tubing you are increasing surface area, therefore it would be better to go parallel.

my two cents

If it is just the two blocks there's no need for parallel. And you can run it to the NB first or the CPU first, neither will affect the water's temp enough to hamper temps on the other.

I see Ira's in here so I'll just leave it at that lol.

unless you downsize the tubing so you have different flows (this btw would be such a pain in the ass to figure out how much to downsize by) you should just go series (why is it i say something then read up the page and everyone else says exactly what i say? really should start reading the replies b4 i answer)

Thanks to everyone that responded. A lot of these water cooling problems seem like common sense, but in practice, don't work out that way(e.g. My CPU runs cooler with my pump set at #5 than at #10).
Thanks again-Chuck
