Default Water cooling, Rad size and case

Hey,

Will I notice much difference between a 360 radiator and a 240 radiator in a cpu and motherboard loop.

Orginally I was going for a corsair obsidian with a 360 rad in the top and a 240 in bottom right, the 360 on cpu and motherboard with the 240 on graphics (and maybe crossfire later)

I'm off the obsidian.

Will a 360 radiator fit in the top of this case?
Lian Li v1010
if not I imagine a 240 will,

and is there enough room in the bottom right with the harddrive cages removed to fit a 240 rad?

also the same questions regarding this case: http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?...ducts_id=12342

Basically I want to know If i really need a 360 radiator for getting the cpu to a solid stable 24/7 overclock (i7 920) and which Lian li is the best case for putting water cooling in for around 300 aussie dollars (if not also looking at cosmos s?)

if anyone can find a worklog on either case that would be great,

Swalden

A 240 will be fine, there's been a bit of fear here for a while on sub-360-size rads not being enough for loops that are CPU-only, or even CPU+board. IMO, though, a 360 would be nice if later you decide you want to put blocks on more parts, in which case all you have to do is drain (maybe flush, too, if it's been going for a while), add more tubing, attach the blocks, re-fill, re-test, and go off on your way.

Oh I meant v1200 btw (whats the difference between 1200 and 1200 plus????)

So 360 rad and a 240 on graphics is ove rkill? just 2 240s would do?

Infact this guy http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f1...20resize-1.jpg only has 2 120s, would a 240 and a 120 even do?

Is there a version of the v1200 that is not inverse? then I could get a 360 rad in there I bet

You can reverse it yourself by taking the back panel and motherboard tray out and flipping them over. As for the difference between a 1200 and 1200 Plus, I'm not sure. A 240 or 2 120s on CPU+GPU is about the extent of what you could do with that, but it'd work; a 360 is simply more suitable.

I wish lian li would stop confusing me haha, I recon I could get a 360 in the top, I shall have to find someone who has tried. but 2 250s would fit easily I would just take out the harddrive bay and mount the harddrives a different way (I will only have one drive and a SSD) Rad then sucks air through bottom of case.

What do you recon I could do with this case? http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?...ducts_id=12342

Id remove the top harddrive cage and maybe even the one on the right, with a 240 on front and 360 on top (or 240 if it wont fit?)
