You won't have very much corrosion. The metals you really have to watch out for are aluminum and copper, because they are pretty far apart in nobility. Any mixing of dissimilar metals will cause corrosion, but with metals like stainless steel and silver, you won't see it in the lifespan of the item. Pretty sure silver+copper corrosion has never been seen before in practice.

'Gunk' is unlikely.

But automotive coolant will be less effective than distilled water.

there is no reason for antifreeze as your don't have mixed metals and no corrosion will happen and as far as i know your not going below freezing.

it could gunk it up, but for most i don't believe it does.

it will hinder temps though as it's not the best for heat transfer.

Where does one go about purchasing said strips? Also, I've got all silver plated fittings, 6 in total. Will this work well enough to keep bacteria out by itself?

if they are the bitpower true silver (only ones i know of) then your fine with just those.
