Default What works as anti-corrosion

so i want to have some stuff that will go against some corrosion.
even i have not got any reacting metal or so but it let me sleep better(fictionally of course).So what can i add in my loop i have now a big 1 oz silver 5 dollar Canadian coin some pt nuke and demineralized/distilled water.
I head that i can use car coolant as anti corrosion but will decrease heat temps. Will there be any gunk/goo if i use car coolant , I mean with goo the goo on your block when using feser coolant etc.

i will now go to sleep so i hope i get many post and i hope you members of overclock.net can help me.

Sleep

You can use 10% antifreeze in your loop, but it might gunk up after a while, say like 6 months.

Or you could try feser corrosion inhibitor. Dunno about how well it works.

5-10% any anti-freeze, I've never had it junk up anything before. fstfrddy said it made the plasticiser leech out of his hardware store tubing once, so be careful of that. I use Masterkleer and never had any type of problems with it.

I just use Prestone any more but I used to like this because its blue..Pentosin .If you have a Audi/VW dealership near you it's only $6-8 a quart.

Masterkleer.1/2x3/4" ..7/16x5/8"

You really don't need it in a brass/copper loop, but it's not much of a temp hit if you'd like to. Look in my PDF there are a couple of things that will make up for the viscosity increase and give you about the same temp's anyway.Thats the main thing it will raise the distilleds viscosity and you'll have slightly lower flow as compared ot straight distilled. Look in hte second link I'll leave for some good info on that.

It will act as a biocide also, when your coolant starts turn cloudy you'll know its turning acidic and it's time to redo your coolant. Bacteria wont grow in a base liquid, they do in a acidic one.

Something to read;

..PC Water Coolant Chemistry - Part I

..Data on Coolants and Liquids Used in Computer Watercooling

I'll leave you my cleaning PDF, it has my recipe and a few other basic things in it.
