installed my WCing stuff today for my cpu, no leaks, no real issues however now that im trying to OC my CPU my north bridge is getting really really hot, 90C+
__________________It never used to get this hot, so im wondering what happened. Nothing has really changed, just the addition of a 360 rad and some better fans. is there a solution? aside from buying a block just for a NB, dont really want to do that yet.

How much are you overclocking? 50% or so?
Do you still have good airflow in your case? Remember, cpu air coolers not only cool the cpu, but provide some airflow for vregs, memory, and north/south bridge. |

try resetting the TIM on the northbrige, if its passive cooling install a fan blowing onto it, make sure other components aren't puring heat onto it, try to drop NB voltages if possible
if none of these work out there are plenty of farily inexpensive northbridge waterblocks out there, its wellw orth it to get 30 degree nothbridge temps because if it burns up you will lose out on a couple hundred dollar board and slap yourself on the head for not getting a 30 dollar waterblock

the thing is, nothing has changed, all the fans are working and they're all http://www.ncix.com/products/index.p...facture=Scythe these now, which are WAY better than the antec tricools i had before.

This is prolly common sense but, do you have the red NB waterblock installed that came with the motherboard? If yes, that could be why your NB temps are high. If no, make sure that the side panel fan is running. Also your GPU puts a lot of heat into the case believe it or not. I used to have my rig in my COsmos S with my 4870x2 and my temps were high before I watercooled my stuff. Or just add more fan on the NB.

Most air coolers provide a good amount of downdraft cooling for the NB. Perhaps you didn't notice exactly how much of the airflow over the NB came from your CPU cooler?

edit: Have you checked to see if you somehow unseated the cooler from the nb when installing your system?
