if its not going for $100+ then it doesn't mean its not silver, it just might mean that instead of a small mint, they might have done a batch of 50,000+. which would make sense, Canada is alot more populated than Australia

With a table vise and a hammer you could pound that sucker in half and it might fit( ahh already suggested). Silver is pretty soft. You also could probably cut it with a good pair of tin snips.

Anti-microbial properties IIRC. Helps keep algae out of the loop.

Also, 9999 means 99.99% pure silver. You have a pure silver coin.
