![]() Has anyone experimented with both of these loops? Im looking for information on the benefits of either type. My planned loop is cpu->gpus->res->pump->feser rad->cpu. I want the best for both cards though I dont think Ill over clock the cards to maximum, just the CPU. thanks for any input!

I think it depends on whether you want to expend a lot of energy for what may just be a marginal gain - parallel GPU blocks are really particular. The good side to this though is each block gets a fresh supply of water. Either would work and I doubt the difference would be more than 2-5C which is negligible in terms of GPUs as temps really don't hold them back that much.

If you want to do a parallel gpu loop, why not just use 2 Wye fittings?

Gains are marginal and not worth the effort/cost (those dual connectors if you're going between a single slot are like 6-10 bux. Maybe I'm just being frugal hehe.

I dont understand are those supposed to be the two different barbs on a GPU block because they need crossflow in order to work

Its a side diagram of the water blocks theres a dual inlet or dual outlet on each side.
I like the cooler flow of (B.) but was mostly concerned about the flow dynamics of the top block. would they flow equally? does adding a barb to the top and bottom restrict flow? I already understand that the flow rate is reduced to one half. does running it backwards work just as well as forwards? the connectors are $15 each and dont care about the cost so much. It looks better IMO. As long as nobody has had a problem with doing this themselves Ill feel better about going this route. If I could find smaller connectors, it may help reduce what turbulance that may exist given the flow rate change. Thanks for the opinions!

When I water cooled my cards I just used "Y"s and gave each it's own supply and return lines...the same with my CPU so they all got the cool water. I got much better temps across the board.
Though I also have two D5 pumps in my loop. That was a lot of flow I was pushing...and pulling in a sense. I put one pump after my rad to sort of "pull" the coolant and one pump after my rez to push the coolant. Seemed to work well, but pretty much impossible to get looking nice since you have so many hoses. I have since went back to stock cooling on my cards though...I redid some things in my loop and I didn't think it was worth it to do it all again. A HD 4850 doesn't get that hot any way.
