Well this is really weird. Earlier my mcp350 just died on me, and wouldn't start with either my computer power supply or the one I have connected to the wall. Now, after reassembling the pump, it's working just fine. I did learn one thing while I was taking it apart though, and that's that it's not one that's able to be modded to an mcp355. It doesn't look like the one's they modded as in it doesn't have those solder points to the right. Either way, it's working again, and i'd like to know why. Is it possible that the pump just got really hot, so it needed some time to cool down or what?

If you didn't find the pump clogged or something similar the motor will probably fail again. Don't leave your system running without being there or use temp monitoring software to shut down your system if it gets too hot. Good luck.
BTW, how old is it?

I had an MCP350 die on me, but it never came back to life. I definitely wouldn't trust it. If you must, test it on your backup power supply for a good amount of time.

It's possible your impeller may of been in a bind, that's why I said to tap it with a screw driver handle. Who knows...
..Just watch it for a while. And when you put any top, after-market or stock just snug the screws up well, if you over-tighten them a little it can make them bind with some tops.
