the things you put on the end of bolts!!!!!!
![]() OP you'd do well to look for a local engineering company or visit you local hardware store or even a locksmith or bicycle workshop you'll most likely find one of them may have what your looking for as i used to be a cycle mechanic and we have quite a few bolts and nuts that are ss for rust prevention

? Seriously? Come on man.
Try looking at your local hardware store. If not, google is your best friend. Try this: http://www.britishfasteners.com/threads/bsp.html You can try going to your hardware store like I sad with your bolts in hand, then try different nuts.

In South Africa, everything is metric, specific BSPP thread is not an easy find...

There's mcmaster carr, but I don't know about their international shipping.
Either way, for building a res you're much better off tapping the holes for the barbs than you are using a nut on the other side. Less of a chance to leak.

Why are you even trying to bolt a barb on? That will be the leakiest reservoir ever...
To make a res, you need to tap the hole - make a thread in the hole - using a tap, which the barb can then screw into. You will need: http://www.aquatuning.co.uk/product_...ize-1-1-2.html and http://www.aquatuning.co.uk/product_...-kit-G1-4.html I can't remember the diameter hole you need to drill though. If you were planning to bolt a barb onto something to make a res, it makes me think there will be other issues with your reservoir. Would you mind going through your ideas for it, so we can tell you if you are going to make a horrible mistake or something? I also suggest PMing CyberDruid, he makes reservoirs and can give you some excellent advice, like using polycarbonate instead of acrylic etc and the type of glues to use, sizes of holes, how to stop air build up.
